The Walther P22 is a .22 caliber polymer semi-automatic handgun. The factory box contains the gun, 1 magazine and different grip sizes. The gun fit my hand perfectly with the standard grip size. The standard .22 magazine holds 10 rounds. I would classify this gun as compact. This gun is a very good size for concealed carry, although I would not recommend it for daily carry due to its limited caliber. This gun is about a ¼” longer than the Ruger LC9.

This gun features a very attractive design, and is very ergonomic. It sports a light rail under the muzzle for expanding its capabilities and a unique magazine release that really takes some getting used to. Once you get used to using the magazine release lever it feels really good. This handgun also has a very nice trigger pull.

I have owned a Taurus PT22, Sig Mosquito, and now the Walther P22. What did they all have in common? They all jammed. I have even tried many different types of ammo, and these guns still jam. Smaller calibers have less blow-back and can interfere with the proper functioning of a semi-auto pistol. Maybe that’s the issue here. A lot of people have mentioned jamming problems with the P22 and others say no problem. Another negative is that this gun requires a special tool to reassemble once it is taken apart to clean. This gun retails for around $350.
