Beretta 92 A1

The Beretta 92 A1 is a variant of the trusted, tried and true 92 series 9mm. The main difference between the two is that the 92 A1 has a Picatinny rail (also known as a MIL-STD-1913 rail), on which can be mounted a laser or light. You can see a combination laser/light mounted in the additional photos below. Another difference is that the 92 A1 comes with THREE 17-round magazines – that is, of course, as long as you live in a state where there aren’t ridiculous mag restrictions. This gives you a lot of 9mm firepower right out of the box. If you don’t like changing mags, Beretta (and aftermarket co’s) offer a 30-rounder – you can see that beast in the photos. This particular gun has also had Hogue grips installed. As with all Beretta 92 variants, this is a quality, reliable pistol. The one in the photos shot 200+ rounds out of the box, with both the 17 and 30 round mags flawlessly. Beretta manufactures the A1 both in the USA and Italy. This particular one is made in Italy, as you might be able to tell from the markings on the slide. While the full size makes this pistol a bit cumbersome for concealed carry, it’s a great option for a beginner, and surely for home defense…. especially with that 30-round mag.
